I have won a few awards for my work. The blue shawl, Corrugations, was hand dyed and won 3rd place in a Texas competition. The tapestry, Texas Burning, won 3rd place in an international competition, Small Expressions by the Handweavers Guild of America.  The third piece, Bridges to Nowhere, won first place for Art Concept from the Contemporary Handweavers of Texas (its long and skinny and the website can't handle the picture -- so I added some highlights). The last piece, Grids, was featured by Big Medium in 2017 in their gallery show as part of the West Austin Studio Tour and my multicolored wire bracelet (Home page) was featured in 2018. WSSA chose those pieces to represent the guild. For grids, I handpainted the background and then mounted a wire woven grid (done on a potholder loom) to the canvas. The bracelet is 36 guage wire weft on a base of 22 guage wire.
